It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that AGC of New Jersey Scholarship Foundation is seeking applicants for scholarships, including the Donald R. Waters Scholarship ($10,000) and the John F. Donohoe Scholarship ($10,000), as well as a third scholarship in the amount of $4,000. These scholarships are essentially available to dependents of employees, including grandchildren, of both Contractor and Associate members of the AGC of NJ that are in good standing. The employee must have worked with a member firm for a minimum of 500 hours within the past 12 months (February 1, 2009 to February 1, 2010).
The Donald R. Waters Scholarship is available to high school seniors who are entering college this fall, to college undergraduates and to graduate students that are currently enrolled in a two or four-year degree program and will matriculate with a minimum of nine credits for the fall semester. The John F. Donohoe Scholarship is available to any student that is going into second, third or fourth year at an accredited civil engineering program, even if the applicant cannot meet the 500 hour minimum requirement.
