Education & Training

AGC of NJ takes education, in all its forms, seriously.
The association offers business improvement programs to members addressing a wide range of issues from immigration compliance to public works prequalification.
AGC of NJ members and management serve on a variety of union apprenticeship funds to ensure the union workforce is well-prepared to respond to the needs of a modern construction site.
For the youngest future craftworkers, designers and contractors, AGC of NJ supports the Build Up Program geared to elementary school children. This innovative educational program introduces students to the fundamentals of construction, and often stimulates a lifelong desire to build things.
Further in the educational process, the association engages with our student chapter at Fairleigh Dickenson University to cultivate the contractors, engineers and managers of the future.
AGC of NJ has created a Scholarship Foundation to award higher-education scholarships to deserving students. The foundation has distributed tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships and helped dozens of students obtain the education necessary to compete in the global economy.
