AGC of NJ offers a host of safety training programs throughout the year. Whether it is the standard OSHA 30-Hour course, the more targeted Train-the-Trainer course, or area-specific trainings, members have opportunities to gain the safety credentials they need.
In addition to the safety programs sponsored by the association, AGC of NJ members have access to the finest construction safety training available through our union partners. AGC of NJ companies are entitled to request the members of their union workforce return to their training centers to obtain specific safety skills training.
The association also maintains an extensive Video Library of specialized safety subject matters pertinent to craftworkers and professional staff alike. These may be used to supplement members’ safety training programs.
AGC of NJ organizes Safety Day, an annual event focused on highlighting the remarkable safety efforts of members and drawing the attention of the motoring public to greater awareness of the safety of workers on construction projects along our highways. AGC of NJ also participates in the Work Zone Safety Partnership, which attempts to focus the entire industry on this and other safety efforts.
The association’s annual Safety Awards program recognizes the outstanding safety achievements of members.
